Navigating Physical and Mental Challenges

Sometimes, we are faced with challenges in life that seem impossible to overcome. However, such experiences sometimes bring incredible endurance and resourcefulness we never knew we had.

Please permit me to share an incredible story I heard as a kid attending a Sunday ceremony at church: there were two frogs that were talking with each other and hopping around the backyard of a farmer's house. Without realizing, and blinded with their conversation, they unknowingly jumped inside a large container of milk. Upon realizing what had just happened, they tried profusely to get out. After a while however, one of the frogs stated that it is impossible to get out of the milk container alive and was not willing to kick here and there to save itself. Therefore, the frog stopped trying to get out and let itself sink to the bottom.

The second frog, however, was determined to get out of the predicament and continued to kick with all its might. After a while, the milk started changing its present state by coagulating starting to thicken. After few more kicks by the frog, the milk reached a frothy stage, then the pudding stage. At this time, the frog noticed that there were solid parts that it can hold on to jump out of the container. Eventually, the second frog did and saved its life.

Every day we should be thankful for the opportunity granted to us to be alive for that particular day and do our utmost to enjoy it and make it fruitful. As the saying goes, "Today is the tomorrow we were so afraid about yesterday". Take your time to delight in the little things and appreciate the gift of life given by the Lord and give thanks to the Lords through the breath he bestowed on you. Always keep in your heart that some things are best left for the Lord to handle. As for those things that appear to be within our control, please make the most of them while being thankful for the ability to do so.

May peace, health, and joy be upon you.
